Transius Conference 2015

Geneva 24 - 27 June 2015

The Centre for Legal and Institutional Translation Studies (Transius) will hold its first international conference on 24-27 June 2015. This will be a joint conference combining two complementary events: a conference on Law, Translation and Culture (LTC5) organised in collaboration with the Multicultural Association of Law and Language (MALL), and a legal and institutional translation seminar organised in collaboration with IAMLADP’s Universities Contact Group (UCG)

JosTrans: Special issue on crime in translation

The Journal of Specialised Translation Guest-edited by Karen Seago, Jonathan Evans and Begoña Rodriguez

Crime fiction is a hot topic with an explosion of crime novels, television series and films, many of them translated not only out of English, but also increasingly into English. However, there has not been that much research into crime fiction in translation and this special issue addresses this gap, bringing together work on crime in translation for the first time.
