The seventh international BCLT Summer School bringing together writers, translators, and literary professionals for a week of literary translation workshops, round tables, seminars, and readings.
Writers in residence: Patricia Duncker, Elena Lappin, Tim Parks (English); Chantal Bourbigot (French); Peter Waterhouse (German); Eleni Yannakakis (Greek); Gianrico Carofiglio (Italian); Michal Witkowski (Polish); Andrei Kurkhov (Russian) Carlos Gamerro (Spanish).
Workshop leaders: Ilide Carmignani, Robert Chandler, Howard Curtis, Maria Consta, Iain Galbraith, Magda Haydel, Miguel Martinez Lage, Cecilia Rossi, Barbara Schaden, Giuliana Schiavi, Ros Schwartz.
Keynote speakers: Roger Baines, Fred Dalmasso, Alan Dix, David Johnston, Katherine Mendelsohn, Blake Morrison, Simon Rees
Translation workshops from English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish. All language combinations are welcome – contact BCLT for further details.
Fees: £650 (residential) £295 (non-residential)
Bursaries: Bursaries are available for students wishing to join the Polish-English translation workshop. BCLT is grateful to Literature Across Frontiers for supporting this initiative.
